Housing for Low-Income Seniors

The School House Commons Housing For Seniors is located at 1005 Grant Street Buffalo, NY 14207.  The Commons, home to 64 apartments, is funded under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Section 202 Housing of the Elderly. 

The complex is designated for elderly families. An elderly family is defined as a household where the tenant or co‐tenant is at least 62 years old.

Free Senior Exercise Class--for Men and Women
YWCA has a FREE senior exercise class every Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. School House Commons at 1005 Grant Street.  It is free of charge, but a $1.00 voluntarry donation is accepted to help defray small expenses if people can help out. The class is both seated and standing so individuals in wheelchairs may participate.  All physical activity levels are accommodated. Men and women are invited.
