2009 Ray of Light Awards

The Ray of Light Award recognizes the accomplishments of local high school women for their accomplishments in the following four categories:

• Academic/Civic Achievement: Candidate maintains academic excellence while staying actively involved in their community.
• Personal Achievement: Candidate exhibits the ability to balance school, family, and employment while having overcome a life-changing obstacle.
• Athletic Achievement: Candidate demonstrates excellence in team and/or individual athletics.
• Artistic Achievement:  Candidate demonstrates achievement and excellence in at least one of the following areas: visual art, the performing arts, folk art, literary work, media, design, and/or film..
